Dr. Chaima Amari Bio: Over the past nine years, Dr. Amari has held numerous positions in government, the private sector, and various NGOs. She served as Advisor to the Ambassador at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in New York, worked with the International Federation for Peace and Sustainable Development at the United Nations, held the role of Senior Editor for the MENA region at the Society and Diplomatic Review, and was appointed Peace Ambassador for Tunisia by People Authorized for Peace.
A prominent voice for human rights, peace, and women's empowerment, Dr. Amari regularly contributes to major international publications and engages with global media, including BBC Arabic and other distinguished international news platforms.
Dr. Amari has organized numerous UN side events raising awareness on women's empowerment, interfaith dialogue, youth leadership, human rights, human trafficking, and protection of cultural heritage in conflict zones, in collaboration with ambassadors, UN officials, and heads of state, including President Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States.
Born in Sousse, Tunisia, Dr. Amari holds a European Degree in Pharmacy from Romania and a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Tunisia, where she practiced her knowledge in public health.
She has also pursued extensive professional trainings at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), earning certificates in Negotiation Skills and Communication, General Assembly Documentation, International Disaster Response, and Guidelines for UN Resolutions, among others.
In addition, Dr. Amari is a Certified Human Rights Consultant from the US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights. She speaks six languages including: Arabic, French, English, Romanian, German, and Spanish.
