💛💙 What a beautiful and heartfelt afternoon we shared on May 17 in support of the children of Ukraine.
🎶 Our Charity Concert of Ukrainian Music brought together incredible musicians, meaningful solidarity, and a shared belief that music can inspire hope even during the darkest times.
💝 Deep gratitude to the outstanding performers from Musicians for Ukraine — Alejandro Villareal, Anna Balakerskaia, Dasha Gabay, Kathleen Jacobi, Luke Wedge, Masha Feygelson, Michael Romans, Sasha Beresovsky, and Will Hurd — for donating their extraordinary talent and time to support Ukrainian children through US Ukrainian Activists’ (USUA) Ukraine’s Children Aid program.
🎼✨ Together, they filled the hall with beautiful works by distinguished Ukrainian composers — Theodore Akimenko, Zhanna Kolodub, Myroslav Skoryk, Ihor Sonevytsky, Iryna Shvaidak, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, Alemdar Karamanov, and Mykola Lysenko — honoring Ukraine’s rich cultural heritage, resilience, beauty, and enduring spirit through music.
💝 🇺🇦 We were especially honored and grateful to welcome Ukrainian veteran Oleksandr Vihruk and his spouse, Olha, to our concert. Their presence made the evening even more meaningful and reminded us all why continued support for Ukraine and its people is so important.
💛 Special heartfelt thanks to Dasha Gabay and Alex Balakersky for coordinating the music program, and to Musicians for Ukraine for their continued dedication to supporting Ukraine through music since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion.
💙 We are also sincerely grateful to Walker Chapel United Methodist Church - Arlington, VA for warmly hosting this charity concert and reception in support of Ukrainian children.
💖 Our deepest appreciation to Dawn Kyser, Music Director of Walker Chapel United Methodist Church - Arlington, VA, for her incredible support of our event and for helping create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. We are especially grateful for the generous contribution to the after-concert reception, including the beautiful yellow and blue cupcakes inspired by the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Not only were they absolutely delicious, but they also became a touching symbol of solidarity, hope, and support for Ukraine and Ukrainian children.💛💙

💝 Thanks to the generosity and kindness of everyone who attended and supported the concert, the gross proceeds from the event reached approximately $4,000, including a generous $500 check donated in support of our humanitarian programs for Ukraine.
💖 Most importantly — thank you to every guest, volunteer, donor, and friend of Ukraine who attended, supported, donated, shared, and stood with us. Your kindness transforms music into hope, compassion, and real support for Ukrainian children impacted by war.
