CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!

Reports of 1.2 million voters being suspended from the voter rolls in Texas and Missouri voters receiving mailers—even when they haven’t moved—are a serious reminder: don’t assume your registration is still active.

Your right to vote is too important to leave to chance.

âś… Check your voter registration.
âś… Make sure your address and information are correct.
âś… Update your registration if necessary.
âś… Encourage your family, friends, and community to do the same.

Our communities deserve to cast their ballots without intimidation, disruption, or unnecessary barriers. That’s why we need people on the ground, outside polling locations, paying attention to what’s happening — observing, documenting, and reporting problems when they arise.

You don’t have to work inside the polls to protect your people.

Our 2026 TJC Voting Rights Champion, Sarah Collins Rudolph, has been an inspirational leader in voting rights advocacy. She was known as a survivor of the 1963 16th Street Baptist Church Bombing in Birmingham, AL.

At the time, Birmingham was one of the most segregated cities in America. Shortly after the bombing, which caused Sarah to lose her eye and endure so many other health problems over many decades, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. addressed the outrage of Black Americans and the Government’s duty to end segregation from then on. Her story was one of many events that led to the establishment of the Voting Rights Act.

She continues to be a voting rights champion nationwide, encouraging all of us to get out and vote while also influencing discussions about reparations for the many Black Americans that were impacted during the Civil Rights Movement.
