DC Primary Care Association - DCPCA Taking Action For A Healthier Community

Our key partners in this effort include community-based safety net primary care providers who are committed to our mission of creating an effective, integrated health system that guarantees access to primary care for all residents. The strategic priorities of DCPCA center around the sustainability of the District’s community health centers, advocacy and public policy efforts to drive innovation, c

hange and transformation of the District’s health care system and data management initiatives to create a technology infrastructure to support population health objectives with data to inform decision-making. All of these efforts work together with the goal of improving population health and ensuring that all residents of the District have a fair shot at a full and healthy life. DCPCA has been at the forefront in strengthening the District’s primary care system by enhancing and leveraging resources to expand and improve primary health care services for DC residents. Our work is achieved through a broad portfolio of projects, including building community health centers to expand access to quality health care, developing policies to support access to care and sustainability of community health centers, building quality in the system for improved health outcomes, building a community workforce of people to help navigate this better system of care, and developing health information technology to link it all together, facilitating the development and sustainability of an effective, integrated health care system in the District that guarantees access to primary care and eliminates inequity in health outcomes.
