The 2025 Arkansas NAHRO Maintenance Conference was a great success. We’d like to thank Mr. Kevin with the Unviveristy of Arkansas East Arkansas Community College, and Lynn Russell with Russell’s Painting, LLC for the excellent training that they provided to our staff. That training will help our communities for years to come.

Congratulations to Jack Faulkner for this year’s Chris Wood Award for his excellent service to both the Paris Housing Authority but also the Paris community.

Advocacy and education didn't stop with last week's Hill Day. Thank you to NAHRO President George Guy (CEO/President of Fort Wayne Housing Authority) and NAHRO member Chonda Tapley (Executive Director of the Fayetteville Housing Authority and Harrison Housing Authority in Arkansas) for joining other industry leaders at a House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development roundtable. As of 1/29 at 1:17PM Eastern - NAHRO members are reporting eLOCCS is accessible and news outlets are reporting that OMB has rescinded the freeze.

[Original post] NAHRO is investigating how the OMB memo impacts HUD and whether this pause will apply to Public Housing, Housing Choice Vouchers, and other programs that may be used by our members. We recommend that housing agencies try to draw down their funds before 5:00 PM Eastern on January 28.
