We are still all smiles from the incredible Community CAREGiver Collective Celebration at the National Children's Museum! It was a night of play, connection, delicious food provided by Beau Thai, amazing drinks by Unrestricted Coffee, and *JOY* as we celebrated 6 (you read that right - 6!!) cohorts of the CCC.
CARE IS REVOLUTIONARY!

Our Community CAREgiver Collective (CCC) program provides a space where parents and caregivers can learn, connect, and support one another.
The program launched in 2025 with a goal of graduating 38 parents and caregivers through the Nurturing Parenting Program. In 2026, Horton’s Kids expanded CCC by introducing a second curriculum, the Effective Black Parenting Program. With the addition of this program, CCC set a goal of graduating 50 caregivers in 2026. After the first two cohorts of the year, the program is already close to reaching this goal, with two additional cohorts still to come.
The growth of CCC has been driven largely through word of mouth in the community, as alums share how powerful the experience was for them. CCC goes beyond traditional parenting education by creating a community of caregiver leaders of all ages. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences, support one another, and grow into advocates who help strengthen the broader community. They also gain hands-on practical skills like CPR certification and nutrition education.
After completing the program, caregivers become part of the CCC Alumni community and gather for quarterly meetings that provide opportunities for shared learning, continued leadership development, and deeper connection with other caregivers. Increasing family stability is so often about building your village in a safe space - we are so grateful to be that place for our caregivers.
