Data centers are booming across the Midwest — and the impacts are real: strained power grids, delayed coal plant retirements, new gas plants, and heavy water use.

Wisconsin Green Muslims just dropped a 2026 update tracking data center proposals across Michigan and Wisconsin — including where community organizing has pushed back successfully (17 of 25 MI proposals cancelled or paused this past year).

‼️EXTREME HEAT IS THE DEADLIEST IMPACT OF THE CLIMATE CRISIS! Black New Yorkers are three times as likely to die from heat related illnesses than white New Yorkers. We need Congress to ACT!
