National Energy & Utility Affordability Coalition NEUAC is dedicated to heightening awareness of the utility needs of income-constrained consumers.

The National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition (NEUAC) is a broad-based coalition of diverse organizations dedicated to heightening awareness of the utility needs of income-constrained utility consumers, fostering public-private partnerships and engaging in other activities to address these needs. To meet this mission, NEUAC has the following goals: to increase awareness and understanding of the nature and magnitude of income-constrained energy problems among the various publics; formulate and advance income-constrained energy policy through compilation, analysis and dissemination of data and information; provide information and technical assistance in the creation and development of fuel funds; promote the development of statewide and regional fuel funds networks; improve communications and coordination and take all action necessary, appropriate or convenient to the achievement of the foregoing purposes.

⚡️NEUAC's Mission⚡️

Access to heating, cooling, electricity, and water is essential to living safely and maintaining a healthy home.

NEUAC works to increase awareness of the energy and utility affordability challenges facing income-constrained households. Through advocacy, education, information-sharing, and public-private partnerships, we help strengthen the programs and policies that connect vulnerable households with essential services.

Our vision is a future in which everyone has access to the energy and utility resources they need to live safely and healthfully—without having to choose between keeping the lights on and meeting other basic needs.

Meet NEUAC: the National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition.

We are a national nonprofit coalition bringing together utility assistance professionals, nonprofit organizations, government and tribal entities, utilities, corporations, and other advocates committed to addressing energy and water affordability.

By connecting people across sectors, NEUAC helps members share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, educate policymakers, and advance solutions for households experiencing energy insecurity.

We’re kicking off Meet the Team, a new series introducing the people behind NEUAC!

First up is our Executive Director, Katrina Metzler. When she isn’t advancing NEUAC’s mission, you might find Katrina getting creative, foraging for mushrooms and edible plants, spending time with her grandchildren—or keeping up with her wonderfully varied crew of pets.

Say hello to Katrina! 👋
