Just do better, Nike.

🇺🇸 The new Team USA World Cup jerseys look great.

The athletes wearing them will represent our country on the world's biggest stage.

💥But there's one detail that's hard to overlook: the jerseys aren't made in America.💥

The United States still has the workers, technology, and manufacturing expertise to produce world-class athletic apparel. In fact, companies across the country are doing exactly that every day.

That's why this feels like a missed opportunity.

When the American flag is stitched on the front, shouldn't the manufacturing story reflect that same pride?

Nike has the resources and influence to lead by example.

For Team USA, we think they should just do better.

✏️ Did you know one of the last pencil manufacturers in America is still making pencils the old-fashioned way?

In the 1950s, Shelbyville, Tennessee was known as “Pencil City U.S.A.” and home to six major pencil manufacturers. Today, only one remains: Musgrave Pencil Company, a family-owned business that has been making pencils in America since 1923.

At a time when roughly 3.3 billion pencils are imported into the U.S. each year, Musgrave continues to manufacture 80 to 90 million pencils annually in Tennessee, employing American workers and carving out a niche through custom-made and specialty pencils.

There is something quietly powerful about a company finding a way to adapt and endure in an industry dominated by imports. From classroom No. 2 pencils to carpenter pencils, golf pencils and even songwriter pencils, Musgrave proves there is still a place for quality, craftsmanship and products made here at home.

And honestly? In a world of screens and disposable everything, there is something refreshing about a simple pencil that still gets the job done.
