Dear Gerard Butler,

The workers of Orljava, Croatia are still owed 500.000 € in severance pay. They were producing business shirts for OLYMP, - like the ones you promote - for over 50 years. Although OLYMP produced in the factory for over half a century and was the main customer with 80% of the orders, Olymp is refusing to take responsibility for the people making its shirts.

I am sure that these are not the kind of practices that you agreed to lend your face to, but I am confident that your intervention can be the deciding factor. I urge you to use your influence to demand the due severance payments from your sponsor. OLYMP

Last week, the Commission released new proposed directive on mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence as a important step towards holding . But the proposal isn’t perfect. When Green Group Holdings brought a dangerous pollutant to Uniontown, Esther Calhoun fought back. The company & local politicians ignored local concerns, going ahead with a landfill that posed a serious health threat. Esther was sued for fighting justice.

Esther Calhoun is from Uniontown, Alabama and is the daughter and granddaughter of sharecroppers who grew cotton and vegetables and raised hogs, cows, chickens and horses.
