We chose to be bold and reimagine Chicago: Teen Edition through the lens of the 1920s "Black Metropolis." While the story and iconic songs remain the same, the framework is pure Bronzeville. The result was a masterclass in storytelling that reached a level of proficiency many thought impossible. Congratulations to the cast and crew for bringing this vision to life! 👏🏾

This is what it looks like to claim your narrative. 🤎🎭

Last night, our scholars stepped under the lights and brought 1920s Bronzeville to life with the production of Chicago: Teen Edition. Opening a show takes immense courage, and I am so proud of how this cast supported each other and pushed through every live-theater challenge thrown their way. We have two shows left. Come see what happens when young Black artists are given the space to lead, create, and transform the stage.
