On behalf of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, the U of M Club of Washington, D.C. (UMDC) provides events, networking, professional development and more, serving as your connection back to all things Michigan in our nation's capital! Love joining other Wolverines at events during the year including nights at the theater, networking happy hours or watching football on Saturdays?

All of these events, specials and discounted prices are organized and run entirely by an amazing group of volunteers. We are always looking for alums who want to join our team and give back to the school and community that gave us so much. Michigan Football is back! 〽️🏈

The 2026 season kicks off Saturday, September 5 at 7:30 PM, and we’re excited to announce the official UMDC game watch locations for the season.

July may be in the rearview mirror… but we’re not ready to let the memories go just yet. 😉

We’re a little late to the recap party (August snuck up on us!), but we’re taking a moment to look back at some of our favorite UMDC moments, events, and connections throughout July. 📸✨A special thanks to all who showed up for our Intern + Alumni Mixer and to Josh Dawson and Madison McBride who met with us after their incredible performance in CrazySexyCool: The TLC Musical!

⚽️ Calling all DMV UMDC soccer players! ⚽️

Fall coed soccer on the horizon—our season is expected to kick off shortly after Labor Day.

The UMDC team plays 11v11 on DC high school turf fields for an 8-game season plus a potential playoff.

New players are always welcome! We plan a no-obligation pre-season practice session on the morning of either Saturday, August 22 or 29, which is a great way for you to meet the team and find out if the level is right for you.

💙 Volunteer with Seabury Resources for Aging
📅 Friday, August 8 | 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Help older adults in Washington, DC remain safely and comfortably in their homes by assisting with light yard work, household projects, organizing, and friendly companionship through Seabury's Age-in-Place® program.

💛 Volunteer with ALIVE! Alexandria
📅 Friday, September 19 | 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Join fellow Michigan alumni as we collect, deliver, and install donated furniture and household items for individuals and families in need throughout the Alexandria community.

💙 Save the Date: Welcome Michigan Veterans to Washington, DC
📅 Saturday, September 26 | 8:00 a.m.
We're planning a special volunteer opportunity to welcome veterans at DCA who are traveling from Michigan on an Honor Flight to visit memorials in Washington, DC. Additional details and registration information will be shared soon.

Whether you can volunteer for one event or all three, your time and service help strengthen our community while connecting with fellow Michigan alumni.
