When I ran my personal training company out of Minnetonka, over 50% of my clients were H-1B visa holders working in IT. I'd ask them tech questions — stuff I taught MYSELF through hundreds of hours of YouTube videos — web design, Python, HTML, marketing platforms, cybersecurity — and they looked at me like a deer in headlights. I knew more than they did.
Then one couple offered to get me a job at Medtronic, Optum, or Target. Sounds great, right? Here's the catch — THEY would do the interview for me. Once hired, no one ever checks in, and you never see the hiring manager. That's not a job offer. That's fraud. I turned them down.
During COVID I applied to 500+ IT jobs in the Twin Cities. Got ONE interview. ONE. Why? Because companies were hiring H-1B workers for $25/hr instead of paying an American a fair wage.
Now Fox News is reporting that Trump's executive order put a $100,000 fee on new H-1B petitions, targeting the body shops and outsourcing firms driving this. Fraud, nepotism and corruption have long compromised the H-1B process, with outsourcing firms and "body shops" rigging the labor market to favor foreign workers over Americans. Fox NewsFox News
Here's my prediction: the reform won't be enough on its own. The fraud networks are too deeply embedded. They'll adapt. We need real enforcement, not just fees.
Hire Americans. It's that simple. 🇺🇸

🚨 The Minnesota GOP rigged the CD3 endorsement process — and I'm calling it out.

As a candidate for Congress in CD3, I was denied access to delegate information because I refused to sign the endorsement agreement. Quentin Wittrock signed it, got the data — names, phone numbers, addresses — and used it to court delegates: buying them breakfast the morning of the convention, handing out swag, and who knows what else. That's not campaigning. That's buying an endorsement.

Meanwhile, GOP Chair Stan Hamilton's only message to me — from the very first day we met — was to drop out and run for State House instead. Not once. Repeatedly. Even after I made it clear I wasn't going anywhere. Why? Because Quentin was their guy. The talking heads already knew he was running again before he even filed. At every convention, where was our chair? Right beside Quentin. Every single time.

Because I wouldn't sign away my rights, I was treated like I wasn't even part of the party. No support. No delegate access. No fair shot.

Were we cheated out of the GOP endorsement? I believe we were.

But here's what they didn't count on: I'm still in this race, and I'm going to win the primary.

If you want a true Republican in CD3 — someone who understands business, taxes, government programs, and fraud investigation — I'm your candidate.

Vote Tyler Bass for Congress, CD3. 🇺🇸

The State Executive Committee voted unanimously that Chairman Alex Plechash did not have the authority to release Gubernatorial candidates from the pledge to abide by the endorsement.

From the Chair Alex Plecesh.

Before reading the GOP of Minnesota wouldn't give me and other candidates the Delegates phone numbers, emails and addresses if we did not sign the endorsement agreement. It meant that if we signed the agreement we could not go onto the primary if we lost. I decided it was in my best interest not to sign because I didn't know how dirty some of these heads were going to be. Then Quentin was given all the information about the Delegates and he took them all out for breakfast the day of our convention. Now today Alex Plechesh is saying its ok for anyone who signed the endorsement agreement to go ahead and go to the primary. A flip flop from what they wouldn't let me do.

This statemen from the chair is just another reason why he needs to step down.

Statement from Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Alex Plechash
During Saturday’s gubernatorial endorsement process, the convention experienced a significant disruption during the fifth round of balloting, after the field had narrowed to Kendall Qualls and Lisa Demuth.
When our team observed a notable drop in the total number of votes cast, we exercised caution and paused the process. Party leadership met with the voting vendor and members of our convention team to review the data, examine the system, and better understand what had occurred. We also alerted the campaigns and worked to provide information as it became available.
After review and testing, we remain confident in the integrity of the data, the results reported, and the endorsed candidates chosen by the convention. The Republican Party of Minnesota stands behind those results.
At the same time, I recognize that the disruption created confusion and concern among delegates, campaigns, and observers. The delay also extended an already long process, and that is not the experience we wanted for our delegates, our candidates, or our convention.
Because of the unusual circumstances and the confusion caused by the disruption, I believe it is appropriate to make clear that any gubernatorial candidate who agreed to abide by the endorsement, should not be treated as bound by that pledge. Those candidates may make their own decision about whether to continue their campaign into the primary.
That decision does not change the party’s position.
The Republican Party of Minnesota stands behind its endorsed candidates. Only our endorsed candidate for Governor, Kendall Qualls, will receive the full support, resources, and organizational backing of the state party.
Our convention included a record level of candidate participation, strong grassroots engagement, and delegates who took seriously their responsibility to help choose the team that will lead our party into November. We are grateful to every delegate, volunteer, candidate, and campaign that participated.
Now our focus must be on unity, accountability, and victory. Minnesota cannot afford another four years of Democrat control. Republicans have strong endorsed candidates, a strong message, and a clear opportunity to win in November. The state party will be fully committed to supporting our endorsed ticket and defeating the DFL.

CD3 Republicans are tired of establishment politics and candidates who campaign one way and govern another.

I’m running as a true Republican because I believe in secure borders, lower taxes, stronger communities, and putting Minnesota families first.

If we want different results, we need leaders willing to challenge the status quo—not protect it.

Take a look at this post and decide for yourself.

Quentin has always been a never Trumper
Quentin Voted for Hilary and Tim Cane
Quentin Voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
Quentin Voted for Kamala and Tim Walz
Quentin will not vote Republican
Quentin has lied about his stance this year on immigration
Quentin has lied about being for the working class
Quentin has always been a Democrat.

It's time for Minnesotans to know what's going on in CD3 at the highest levels. There are a lot of us who have been washed aside during the conventions because the ones in charge "have their candidate". I was told numerous times to drop out, I was told the GOP won't help me with my campaign because they like Quentin and most importantly Quentin is a known Rino and Republicans are tired of it.

I'm running to change the system back to what it was. Where our votes count and when true Rinos run as Independents. I am for safer borders, better education, more jobs and lower taxes. I'm the exact opposite of Quentin. Vote for me this Primary and we will make changes! https://bassforcongress.com

This should concern every Republican in Minnesota—regardless of which candidate you support.

When longtime Republicans and elected officials are suddenly told they no longer qualify to participate or speak after years of service and campaigning, people are going to ask questions. The issue isn’t whether everyone agrees with a candidate. The issue is whether the rules are clear, applied equally, and communicated fairly.

Grassroots voters should decide who rises to the top—not internal gatekeeping, changing standards, or processes that leave campaigns feeling shut out.

I’ve experienced many of the same frustrations as a candidate myself. Communication has been limited, timelines have felt inconsistent, and too many candidates are left navigating the process without support or transparency.

Leadership isn’t about deciding who gets a microphone. Leadership is creating a fair process and trusting delegates and voters to make decisions.

If candidates and delegates are repeatedly raising concerns and feel unheard, leadership should address those concerns directly instead of dismissing them.

I believe the Minnesota GOP needs a reset in leadership and culture—more transparency, more accountability, and more trust in grassroots Republicans.

If party members believe leadership is no longer serving the mission, then it’s reasonable to ask for change and new direction.

Room for improvement at the Republican endorsement convention? I’d say that’s putting it lightly.

As someone who ran a campaign and is still actively running, I experienced firsthand what many candidates already know: there is a serious leadership problem inside the Minnesota GOP.

During the convention process and throughout my campaign, not once did anyone from party leadership reach out to ask how things were going, offer guidance, or even introduce themselves. Communication came through short-notice emails, conventions lacked organization, and there was no clear playbook for first-time candidates. Unless you’re viewed as an established or preferred candidate, many of us are left to figure it out alone.

Leadership isn’t about speeches telling everyone to fall in line. Leadership is showing up, building candidates up, creating structure, and making sure every Republican who steps forward feels supported—not just a select few.

Delegates voiced frustration at convention, and whether leadership agrees with that criticism or not, dismissing concerns instead of addressing them doesn’t strengthen the party.

Minnesota Republicans deserve a party that is organized, transparent, welcoming to grassroots candidates, and focused on winning—not internal politics.

I know some people won’t agree with this, but avoiding these conversations won’t fix anything. If we want change in Minnesota, we need leadership willing to listen, engage, and represent the values of the voters and activists who make this party possible.

That’s one of the reasons I’m running.

Thank you President Donald J. Trump for going after the Fraud in Minnesota. It's all over Cd3 and the people are tired of seeing this go on. We can't live in a Democrat State anymore. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1FeZx8gyQH/
