The FDA today eliminated a major roadblock to DOT Oral Fluid Drug Testing thanks to advocacy efforts by a coalition of industry experts led by NDASA. By ordering the removal of the 510(k) premarket notification requirement, the FDA has cleared the way for laboratories to begin the oral fluid certification process. Once two labs have completed the process, federal oral fluid testing will have a clear path to begin – finally moving from policy to practice!
