The Pacific Coast boasts a very diverse selection of hot dogs. Alaskans like theirs' made from caribou with cola sauteed onions. Seattle's condiment of choice is cream cheese. Hawaiians enjoy special sauces like guava mustard or tropical relishes, and California offers everything from a classic like the Dodger Dog to bacon-wrapped pork dogs with grilled onions and peppers. The Southwest boasts one of the most unique takes on a hotdog. The Sonoran is bacon-wrapped with a pile of beans, grilled onions, fresh onions, tomatoes, mayonnaise, cream sauce, mustard, and jalapeno salsa. The Midwest may not rank high in hot dog consumption per capita, but they do NOT fool around with their dogs. The state of Michigan and the city of Cincinnati have their own delicious takes on the classic Coney Island dog; Cleveland has their Polish Boy, and a Chicago Dog is a CVS receipt of ingredients (but NO ketchup!).
