The pressure is on, and our resolve has never been stronger.

Today, Teamsters General President Sean O'Brien, General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman, and Joint Council 62 President Sean Cedenio joined Verbal Beginnings workers on the strike line.

Their support underscores what this strike is all about: workers standing together and demanding the fair contract they have earned. We will continue to hold the line until Verbal Beginnings does the right thing.

An injury to one is an injury to all.

🔥 The fight continues, and so does the solidarity!

Local 639's striking workers at Verbal Beginnings were proud to welcome Samuel Epps, President of the Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO, to the picket line. His presence is a reminder that when workers stand together, the entire labor movement stands with them.

Our members are holding the line and fighting for a fair contract. We are grateful for the support and determined to see this through.

An injury to one is an injury to all!

Day 3 and Still Standing Strong👊

The Verbal Beginning members of Teamsters Local 639 are showing what union solidarity looks like in action. As they continue their fight for a strong first contract, they are proving that workers united can make their voices heard.

We're proud of the courage and commitment these members have shown over the past three days. Their fight is about dignity, respect, and securing a better future for themselves and their families.

Keep the support coming. Together, we will win a fair contract.

📢 Teamsters Local 639 Stands with Verbal Beginnings Workers
This morning, 33 Teamsters at Verbal Beginnings in Rockville, Maryland launched a strike as they continue fighting for a fair first contract.

These Registered Behavior Technicians provide critical services to children on the autism spectrum and their families every day. They are seeking wages that reflect the specialized work they perform and the high cost of living in our region.

When workers stand together for dignity, respect, and fair compensation, they deserve our support.

✊ An injury to one is an injury to all.

LOCAL 639 STANDS UP FOR WORKERS AGAINST WAYMO BILL
Yesterday, Teamsters Local 639 joined fellow union members and allies at the Wilson Building to urge the D.C. Council to reject Bill 26-0684, legislation that would allow fully driverless Waymo robotaxis to operate in the District.

Local 639 Secretary-Treasurer Scott Clark proudly participated in the rally alongside Local 639 UPS members Obika Griffith and Demani Petron-King. Brother Petron-King also testified before the Council, sharing firsthand how driverless technology threatens the livelihoods of working families who depend on good union jobs.

As Brother Petron-King told lawmakers, "We can't call driverless vehicles progress when they will hurt so many communities."

Teamsters Local 639 will continue fighting to protect good jobs, safe streets, and working families from anti-worker legislation that puts Big Tech profits ahead of people. ✊
