Economic justice is a shared struggle. LGBTQIA+ workers deserve equal pay, but discrimination and data gaps hold them back. We cannot fix what we cannot see.

We must stand together to defend labor rights and secure fair wages for all. Learn more: https://nwlc.org/resource/trans-queer-underpaid-emerging-lgbtqi-pay-gap-data/

We are still severely lacking in data when it comes to the wage gap for LGBTQI+ (le***an, gay, bis*xual, transgender, queer/questioning, inters*x) people.

"The policy failures that have limited families’ choices can only be fixed by making robust public investments—not by pitting families against each other."

What we should be asking is what would actually help families raise their children in the ways that work best for them. Unfortunately, the current administration isn't providing the answers.

"This Pride Month, the girls and gays—and everyone who benefits from civil rights protections on the basis of s*x (aka: a lot of us!)—need to make sure we’re doing everything we can to support the T in LGBTQIA+. Because a lot of us could use the reminder."

Happy Pride! It’s my favorite time of year: the sun is shining, the qu**rs are coming out of hibernation, my social calendar is filled to the brim with drag fundraisers and gay dance parties, the new MUNA album is on repeat…To put it simply: the feeling of, well, pride is in the air. But amidst ...

NEW: We just reached a settlement with Zoetis, Inc., one of the world’s largest animal health companies, on behalf of a veterinary pathologist who was significantly underpaid compared to male colleagues performing the same job.

Employers cannot shortchange women & expect to get away with it. Not on our watch.

Read our full statement:

WASHINGTON — Today, the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC), along with co-counsel Kakalec Law PLLC and Harrison, Harrison & Associates, announced it reached a settlement agreement with Zoetis, Inc., one of the world’s largest animal health companies, on behalf of a veterinary pathologist who w...

"The great irony is that bans against transgender women in women’s sports, women’s bathrooms and other areas of public life actually endanger all women."

In The Hill, our president Fatima Goss Graves writes about how trans sports bans have never have been about protecting women.

It is no accident that the same politicians are pushing both anti-transgender legislation and a rollback of women’s other protections.

ICYMI: Last night, in an unsigned shadow docket decision, the Supreme Court allowed Alabama to use a blatantly racist congressional map in a dramatic expansion of last month's Callais decision that decimated the Voting Rights Act.

Alabama's map had been repeatedly determined to be discriminatory by a lower court—yet in a blatant partisan move, the Court has enabled racist lawmakers to gerrymander Black communities to their hearts' content.

This late-night "anonymous" decision by Trump’s handpicked Supreme Court majority is a blatant effort to control our election results by diminishing the political power of Black communities. This is unacceptable.

It’s Pride Month, and we’d like to take this opportunity amid rising violence against trans people to remind you that supporting women and being a TERF are mutually exclusive. 💖

A TERF, or a trans-exclusionary radical feminist, is someone who mistakenly thinks that trans women aren’t women. Most of them came to their ideology via second-wave feminism that radicalized them into the lie that trans people are a threat to women.

In reality, TERFs twist their so-called “feminism” into outright bigotry, which often translates into real-life harm for both trans women AND cis folks. And right now, when extremists in every level of the government are trying to erase trans people from public life, it’s more important than ever for all of us to be steadfast in our solidarity with the trans community.

So, remember: Trans women are women, trans rights are women’s rights, and none of us are free until all of us are. Happy Pride!
