The Metropolitan (DC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has proudly served the Washington, D.C. community since 1979—and we’re continuing that legacy by investing in the next generation of leaders.

Our Scholarship Program supports local college students entering their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year with financial assistance and mentorship to help them thrive.

We’re looking for students who:
✨ Demonstrate strong academic achievement
✨ Have clear higher education goals
✨ Are committed to serving their communities

Eligibility:
✔️ Must be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited HBCU during the 2025–2026 academic year
✔️ Must be a graduate of a high school in DC, Maryland, or Virginia (Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Alexandria County, or the City of Alexandria)
✔️ Minimum GPA of 3.0
✔️ Demonstrated unmet financial need

Unity through literature and art linked us together for an unforgettable afternoon last month.

The Metropolitan (DC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated welcomed students, families, and educators to celebrate the Dr. Jean Mosee Young Writers Contest and the Visual Arts Competition. Hosted at Trinity Washington University, the program highlighted exceptional talent from middle and high school students across the region.

From moving poetry and essays to striking visual art, and a keynote from master storyteller A’Lelia Bundles, each moment reflected the power of youth expression.

We proudly awarded $5,900 to support and uplift the following young creatives:
