This National Voter Registration Day, take a few minutes to:

✅ Register to vote if you are eligible
✅ Confirm that your voter registration information is current and accurate
✅ Mobilize your friends, family, and community to do the same
✅ Learn how to serve as a poll worker in your jurisdiction

This Wednesday, The Links, Incorporated is hosting our annual Legislative Luncheon, addressing “The State of Our Well-Being: Advancing Black Women’s Health.”

This inspiring panel of health experts will present before a sold-out audience and provide our Call to Action as long-standing advocates for Black women’s health.

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Lynne Lightfoote, MD for being selected to join the panel! We are looking forward to Wednesday!

Twenty-five years ago, our nation awakened to a morning that forever divided our sense of time into before and after.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders, service members, medical professionals, and ordinary citizens whose courage shone through unimaginable darkness.

An entire generation has now come of age in the shadow of that day. As members of The Links, Incorporated, we believe remembrance must reflection and a call to service to honor every life, remember every sacrifice, and preserve every lesson, and to choose unity over division and hope over fear.

May the way we live, love, and serve one another ensure that remembrance continues to change us for the better.

Some days become cherished memories, and this Saturday was certainly one of them.

The Metropolitan (DC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated proudly welcomed our newest members: Maisha Cryor, Maryam Hatcher, and Lisa Williams-Fauntroy, during an unforgettable celebration of friendship and service.

As we reflect on this special day, we are filled with gratitude and excitement for the journey ahead. We look forward to the impact these exceptional women will make as we continue our legacy of enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the cultural and economic thriving of African Americans and others in our community.
