🚨The U.S. Department of State is partnering with Corus organization IMA World Health in its rapid response to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC.

Through the MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience project, which is funded by the State Department, IMA World Health will expand contact tracing and community-based surveillance to identify people potentially exposed to Ebola and help prevent further spread.

From meeting our smallest (honorary) Qori Warmi cooperative partner to tasting purple potato chips made by our supported farmers at the Agropia cooperative, our COO Mahmoud Bah and Managing Director for Latin America Galo Quizanga kicked off their Peru visit grounded in what matters most to Corus: collaboration that delivers real, lasting impact. 🤝🏾🌎

We work alongside local organizations, the private sector, government, and multilateral institutions, co-creating solutions that close gaps in what we call the 5 Fundamentals: a safe place to live, nutritious food, quality health care, the knowledge to grow, and an income to sustain it all. Next month, Corus International’s Dr. Nancy Stroupe will present collaborative youth development research at the 13th IAAH World Congress on Adolescent Health (May 13–15) in Trelawny, Jamaica—the premier global convening on adolescent health that brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and young people from around the world.

Dr. Stroupe’s presentation highlights research from Niger, funded by the John Templeton Foundation and conducted in partnership with local organizations and communities in the Dosso and Tahoua regions. Led by a multidisciplinary team—including Nigerien co‑investigators and local implementing partners—the research explores how community‑centered social and behavior change approaches can shift norms and strengthen health and wellbeing for girls and young women.

At the heart of the work: young people as partners. In‑ and out‑of‑school youth, alongside parents, religious leaders, and health care providers, helped co‑design activities and guide the project through a youth advisory group—ensuring the work reflects lived experience and local priorities.

We’re proud to see this research contributing to global dialogue—and locally driven impact—on adolescent health.
