The Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM) participated in the IDB/OAS event Applying Leadership: Challenges, Strategy and Next Steps, where Yasmin Odlum, CIM Specialist, joined a panel discussion on advancing women's leadership through a gender lens.

The session brought together women leaders from different sectors to exchange experiences and practical strategies for strengthening women's leadership in the public, political, and economic spheres, while promoting greater gender equality and inclusive decision-making.

It’s time to settle the debt!

On May 28, high-level authorities, ministers, and representatives of gender equality mechanisms from across the region will gather in Washington, D.C. to open the 40th Assembly of Delegates of the CIM/OAS.

The digital transformation is reshaping our democracies and poses new challenges for equality: access gaps, digital violence, and gendered misinformation that limit women's participation in public life.

In the framework of 8M, the OAS Permanent Council commemorated International Women's Day with a session dedicated to reflecting on how to move towards an inclusive, secure, and gender-equal digital transformation in the Americas.

The session was convened at the request of Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and Uruguay.
