That’s a wrap on the Sister Cities International 70th Anniversary Homecoming!
From July 22–25, 305 attendees from around the world joined us in Washington, DC for four memorable days celebrating 70 years of citizen diplomacy.
Day 1 kicked off with the Africa Region Forum at George Washington University, followed by an evening reception at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence. Day 2 brought a full schedule of programming at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C., including regional briefings, our Opening Ceremony, keynote remarks, panels, and a Welcome Reception at the Japanese Ambassador’s Residence.
Day 3 continued at the Organization of American States with engaging discussions, the announcement of our Young Artists and Authors Showcase winners, the SCIlent Auction, and our 70th Anniversary Gala Dinner and Annual Awards Ceremony celebrating the people and partnerships that make our network strong.
We closed out the week on Day 4 with the Incoming Board of Directors Meeting and Board Luncheon, reflecting on the week’s connections and looking ahead to the future of Sister Cities International.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their ideas, and helped make this milestone celebration such a success. We’re leaving this Homecoming with new connections, new inspiration, and excitement for the next chapter of the Sister Cities network.
