‼️A Few Spots Remaining‼️

Dear Neighbors and Friends,

In celebration of DC Climate Week and National Trails Day, join us this Saturday, April 25 at 10 AM for an Interactive Community Walk: Reimagining the Shepherd Branch Trail.

Together, we will explore how this long-planned corridor, an inactive rail line since 2001, can be transformed into a clean, safe, and vibrant multimodal trail.

A few spaces are still available, and lunch at Thai Orchid will be provided following the walk, thanks to the generous support of Anacostia Parks & Community Collaborative.

Kudos to Ward 7 leadership! Today, while driving southbound on Minnesota Avenue on my way to a meeting, I noticed that the stretch between Benning Road and East Capitol Street was the cleanest I’ve seen in a long time—trash removed and sewers clear.

P.S. Next time I’ll stop and take a picture to share.
