You know the feeling. You spend three days in a space where nobody needs you to explain yourself, then you fly home and your inbox acts like nothing happened.

Something did happen. You found your people. And they’re still there now the badges are off.

Can we take a moment to reflect on these last couple of days so far? The energy, the hugs in the hallways, the “wait, YOU’RE you?!” moments, the conversations that kept going long after the sessions ended.

This is what it looks like when q***r women and non-binary folks in tech take up the whole space. Not as the only one. As one of thousands.

We came for the stages. We stayed for each other.

The keynotes ended. The real conversations started.

Tuesday night at GITANO NYC we pulled up chairs for our Leadership Mentoring & Networking Dinner. Hours earlier, that same room had been debating the AI decisions leaders can’t get wrong, why technology is the easy part, and what it means to build WITH communities, not just for them.

Then we kept the conversation going over dinner.

This is what a seat at the table actually looks like. We didn’t wait to be invited. We built the table.

Thank you to Airbnb for making the night happen, and to everyone who showed up, opened up, and stayed late.
