Fall office hours begin September 2nd!

These informal, “come and go sessions”, allow you to join at your convenience to ask questions of CAEP staff and receive guidance on submitting the Self Study Report, Addendum, or Rejoinder. There is not a set agenda or training for these small group sessions, they are simply to answer questions and have the opportunity to meet directly with CAEP staff.

CAEPCon Session Spotlight: Success Stories from a Small Provider

Do small enrollment numbers, limited course offerings, and wearing multiple hats make meeting accreditation standards feel like an uphill climb? This session with Melissa Askren Edgehouse of the University of Mount Union explores how one small EPP transformed these challenges into opportunities. Attendees will leave with practical strategies and adaptable ideas that can be implemented in programs of any size.

FYI:

The National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) has made the decision to discontinue conducting Program Reviews with National Recognition. CAEP will not be opening any new shells for NCSS reviews, however, those reviews already underway or with response to conditions will continue with NCSS.

NCSS will continue to maintain its national standards for the preparation of social studies teachers but will no longer accept new program reviews for educator preparation providers.

For more information about the NCSS review process, please contact NCSS via their homepage:

CAEPCon Session Spotlight!

Don’t Let the Details Derail You: Common Post-FFR Logistics Challenges

Receiving the Formative Feedback Report (FFR) is an important milestone in the accreditation journey, but the work does not stop there. Participants will explore common post-FFR challenges, including managing timelines, coordinating responsibilities, organizing evidence, communicating with stakeholders, preparing for the site visit, and navigating required submissions. Through practical strategies and examples, participants will learn how to anticipate potential roadblocks, stay organized, and maintain momentum from FFR receipt through the final accreditation decision. The session emphasizes that attention to process details allows EPPs to focus on what matters most: demonstrating quality and continuous improvement.
