For too long, our systems have criminalized trauma, untreated mental illness, addiction, and pain rather than investing in healing and support. We cannot continue to rely on prisons to serve as substitutes for accessible mental health care. Mental health awareness must also include awareness of how our criminal legal system responds to people in crisis.

Lewis Waters is a former SLP client that uses his second chance to share his talents. He's painted countless murals in DC spotlighting historical figures and sharing his experience with the justice system. Half of the earnings will go directly to Lewis. Support second chances!
