A huge thank you to our incredible math tutor from George Washington University for sharing why she loves working with FLOC students. Her passion, patience, and ability to connect with our students reminds us that representation and relatable role models matter. When students see someone who isn’t much older than they are succeeding in college, it makes their own dreams feel within reach.

This is what investing in our youth looks like. ❤️

We kicked off the summer with For Love Of Children (FLOC) and a room full of promise, potential, and future leaders. For the next 6 weeks, DC teens will have a safe space to learn, grow, lead, explore careers, strengthen literacy and math skills, earn community service hours, and get paid for their commitment.

Partnerships make our mission possible, and organizations like play a major role in connecting FLOC with dedicated volunteers who help our students learn, grow, and thrive.

FLOC’s End-of-the-Year Book Drive is here! From Monday, May 11th through Thursday, May 21st, we’re collecting new and gently used books to help youth build personal libraries and strengthen their love for reading. ❤️📖
🕘 Drop off donations Monday–Thursday between 9AM–6PM
🌐 Can’t make it in? Donate online through FLOC’s website!
Every book donated opens the door to imagination, learning, and opportunity. Let’s empower our youth together! 💙
