If you're new here, we're going to reintroduce ourselves. 🫱🏾🫲🏽
The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. It is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other people of African ancestry.
The Washington (DC) Chapter of The Links, Incoporated strives to uphold the organization's mission and build pathways alongside the local community in the District. We invite you to participate and follow along with our journey through this account.
Check out our IG Highlights for information on our programs, scholarships, events, and more. In our current drive, on the heels of our "Forward Together" Gala, we are still raising exponential funds to support our Thomas-Young scholars. Please follow the link in our bio to GIVE because we can go farther, together.
Also, during this time, we celebrate The Washington (DC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, which was chartered on April 17, 1948, making it the oldest chapter in the District of Columbia/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area. Organized by Bernice Thomas and Ruth Young, the charter membership comprised eight individuals from the Philadelphia Chapter.
This is a time of reflection, reconnection, and renewed energy towards our common goals. How are you volunteering this month?
