Millions of women are pregnant right now in refugee camps. A refugee mother is five times more likely to die in childbirth, not because her pregnancy is more dangerous, but because her access to care has been stripped away.

This World Refugee Week, the Every Pregnancy coalition stands united for mothers across borders. Where a woman gives birth should never determine whether she survives it. Our 50+ partners across over 20 countries are on the ground making sure it doesn't.

Help keep the promise of safety alive. Stand with refugee mothers. Until everyone is safe, we show up. Until everyone is safe, the work is not done.

What .masse is doing with her project, The Birth Control Tapestry, is extraordinary.

It took 13 kilometres of yarn for a piece of paper most of us have held in our hands to finally feel worth paying attention to. That says something about how we value women’s health, and who we centre when we talk about it.

Because the women who need this conversation the most – in Gaza, in Sudan, in displacement camps where a safe delivery is not a given and postpartum care is a miracle – are not in the comments section. The distance between what Alexandria is fighting for and what those women can access is exactly what exists to bridge.

Contraception, safe delivery, postpartum support: the full continuum of care, for every mother, wherever she is.

Our hearts are so full 🌸

This past weekend, we hosted our very first ‘Petals for Mama’ Mother’s Day Picnic, and it was pure magic.

Watching mamas, families, and little ones laugh, connect, and build beautiful bouquets together reminded us exactly why we do what we do at Every Pregnancy. Every mother deserves to be celebrated, held, and surrounded by love. This was our first time trying an event like this, and we’re already dreaming of the next one!

Zeina doesn’t know it yet, but she made her Olympic debut before she was born.

Her mother, , three-time Olympian, clinical pathologist, and one of the most extraordinary women we’ve had the privilege of partnering with, competed at the Paris 2024 Games while she was seven months pregnant.

A few months later, Zeina arrived healthy and safe, because Nada had access to the care that made it possible.

Throughout May, in celebration of Mother’s Day, Nada is joining us for our ‘In Her Honor’ campaign, to ensure more moms and babies receive the care and support they deserve.

In our Season 2 premiere of Born Into, we’re joined by .m.ayoub, who made history as the first woman to ever represent Palestine on the Miss Universe stage. While the world knows her from the pageant, her heart lies with the mothers back home who are forced to give birth in a state of constant survival.

Nadeen shares the incredible resilience, courage, and strength of Palestinian mothers, many of whom had to give birth and recover without access to clean water, medical care, and food. But their stories aren’t defined by occupation.

In this episode we discuss the importance of narrative, humanity, and seeing people for who they are, not what they’re forced to endure.
