🚨Update🚨
Introducing our new executive board! Lastly but not least, We’d like to welcome our new officer!
Bishop Duane Fields, Sr., M.DIV.
Duane Fields, Sr. is a native of Queens, New York born to Pastor Marvin and Mrs. Joyce Fields. On July 19, 1997, he married the love of his life, Sheree Fields and to this union two children were born, Duane Jr. and Destiny. Bishop Fields accepted the call from God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was licensed on May 11, 1998 at the Second Mount Zion Baptist Church, Hanover, Virginia under the tutelage of his father and served briefly as the Youth Minister. He was called to pastor the Oxford Mount Zion Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, Virginia and was installed on October 22, 2000. During this time, the ministry has seen significant growth. To accommodate the growth, Bishop Fields initiated a building project that added 300 additional sanctuary seats and the purchase of 26 acres of land for future growth and development.
Civicly, God has gifted Bishop Fields to transcend from the church into the community, having particular emphasis on youth and young adults. Regarded as a fighter for social justice, he attends to his passion of ensuring equal and fair treatment for the disenfranchised and marginalized. He served as the President of the Caroline County Chapter of the NAACP from 2018-2020 and as a Board Member for the local Habitat for Humanity. He has recently been selected to serve as the Chaplain for the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office, effective 2023. In 2017, Bishop Fields was appointed to the office of District Leader of Virginia for the Global United Fellowship (GUF) under the leadership of Bishop Neil C. Ellis and on October 7, 2022, he was consecrated a Bishop in The Lord’s Church.
