The teens from Jellleff spoke of Mr. Maurice’s mentorship and positive influence over the last two years. Jelleff Recreation Center Youth want to Thank DC Councilmember Brooke Pinto. For keeping Jelleff in the DC City budget! Thank you for prioritizing youth services. Thank you for prioritizing the Jelleff Community with youth & families from every ward in DC. Jelleff is a beacon of hope & safety for youth from throughout DC.

I want to send a Thank You to the City Council for prioritizing quality youth services and community returning Jelleff funding to the DC budget. Jelleff has a 95 year presence in the Georgetown & DC community. It is a gathering place for youth from throughout the city a place first for youth. As long as it stays a Boys & Girls Club it will be a unique place in the city with youth as the 1st priority. Thank you to all the Jelleff Supporters who reached out to the city council to let them know the future & our youth should not be taken out of the budget. Times are difficult but that makes it all the more important that institutions in our community remain open.
