We are proud to announce Maddy McGarry was named the 2023 U.S. Cherry Blossom Queen! Maddy is the first Cherry Blossom Queen from Iowa since Ann E. Fitzpatrick in 1964.

Originally from Jewell, Madeline is currently the Senior Content Manager at BarnTools. She formerly served as U.S. Senator Senator Joni Ernst's Deputy Press Secretary and graduated from Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!!!).

At the end of May, Maddy will travel to Japan for two weeks, a tradition extended to the U.S. Cherry Blossom Queen by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association since 1973.

The State Society of Iowa sponsored Maddy for this event. We are so excited for her and can't wait to cheer her on as Queen this year! https://lnkd.in/ezvUx7dp
