National Aeronautic Association The NAA is America's Aero Club. We are honored to oversee the advancement of the art, sport, and science of aviation and aerospace.

We do this by fostering opportunities to participate in and promote an understanding of aeronautics to the U.S. The NAA is America’s Aero Club. When the National Aeronautic Association began, the world was just beginning to understand that humans were no longer tethered to the Earth. In carrying out our mission, the NAA will:
*Develop opportunities to strengthen mutual objectives of the NAA’s corporate members, Air Sports organizations, affiliate, and institutional members, and regional aero club members, as well as aid in the formation of affiliated aero clubs in U.S. cities where such organizations do not now exist;
*Represent U.S. aviation throughout the world as the U.S. National Air Sport Control (NAC) of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale;
*Encourage, coordinate, document, and promote competition and record-making aviation and space events following the rules prescribed by the FAI;
*Recognize and reward those who make outstanding contributions to the advancement of aviation and space flight through presentations of awards and other honors;
*Endorse sound national programs and other efforts designed to help the U.S. remain a leader in aviation and space flight;
*Support and encourage aviation and space education programs;
*Promote and encourage public participation in and appreciation of U.S. aviation and space activities.

We were honored to be in Houston to present certified world record certificates to the extraordinary crew of Artemis II; NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, alongside Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen.

At the National Aeronautic Association, in partnership with the FAI - World Air Sports Federation, our mission is to record, verify, and preserve the greatest achievements in flight and space exploration. 🚀 Exciting news! The U.S. Navy has awarded NAA Corporate Member Boeing a multi-billion-dollar contract to develop the F/A-XX, its first sixth-generation fighter aircraft! This advanced platform will replace the F/A-18 Super Hornet and is set to revolutionize mission systems and operational reach. 🌟

Steve Parker, CEO of Boeing Defense, shared, “It’s an honor to be selected. Our dedicated team is ready to execute this critical program with groundbreaking innovations and state-of-the-art facilities.”

The NAA is honored to join the FAI President and our colleagues from the Aero Club of Canada in Houston to formally present the Crew with world records for altitude and distance from Earth! 🚀

On 2 April 2026, the crew reached 70,149 km (43,588 miles) above Earth, and on 6 April 2026, Artemis II reached 406,767 km (252,753 miles) from Earth. Both achievements pushed the boundaries of modern flight and set a benchmark for future generations of aerospace pioneers.
