11th Principle: Consent The 11th Principle: Consent! promotes awareness about Consent within the burn community (and beyond!) through demonstration, interaction and participation.

was founded in late 2012 to address the issue of non-consensual encounters at burning events. In late 2012, a group of Southeast burners began to talk about how to take responsibility for our community and the issues inside of it. They identified several major aspects of consent to be addressed:
- Sexual activities
- Spankings, hugs, etc
- Photography and “creep shots”
- The gifting of substances

(smelly oils, alcohol, food with allergens, etc)

The 11th Principle differs from similar consent-oriented groups in our belief that one does not need to be 100% sober in order to consent. Rather, we know that this issue is full of gray areas and believe that there is a difference between having had a couple of drinks and being completely intoxicated. Our consent education efforts pinpoint several markers of intoxication that likely precludes one’s ability to consent.

I’m TIRED, y’all.

After three surgeries last year and decades of screaming into the medical void, my endo still throws weeks long cage-matches. I’m running on fumes after my time in the repro-justice trenches at the Feminist Women’s Health Center, co-founding the 11th Principle: Consent, and collaborating on the R**e Culture Pyramid—no fame or fortune, just doxxing, bullying, and burnout.

All just to watch Roe fall. Rest in power, RBG.

2025 has been a doozy, but just when I thought the universe couldn’t troll me harder, Trump and RFK Jr. are out here peddling junk science, claiming Tylenol—yes, the only safe fever reducer for pregnant folks—causes autism.

Say, what? This isn’t just bad science; it’s a clown show attack on maternal health, dripping with the same old misogyny that blames women for literally everything and demanding they suffer for it. I’m at my wit’s end.

So, let’s flip the script. It’s time for HysteriCALL—a full-on rebellion to drown out this nonsense with facts, fury, and maybe a few memes for good measure.
