Childbirth Survival International - CSI A trusted global 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2013, impacting lives of women & several communities. CSI was founded by Tausi Suedi and Stella Masala Mpanda.

Women, newborns, children, and youth in semi-urban and rural areas are often marginalized in developing countries increasing their burden of disability, disease, and death. CSI extends quality healt

h services to pregnant women, newborns, children, and youth in these communities to help reduce the number of women and newborns dying or being disabled due to preventable causes during pregnancy and childbirth; the number of children who don't make it to their 5th birthday; and the number of teens that get pregnant and infected with STDs and HIV/AIDS. CSI has a diverse team of highly skilled experts fulfilling CSI mission and collaborating with international and local stakeholders to make lasting changes in communities.

When is blood pressure a concern in or ?

Less than 140/90: Keep checking your blood pressure to learn your normal.
Between 140-159/90-109: Call your provider and report your numbers
More than 160/110: Seek immediate emergency care

We also say that blood pressure 10-15 above your normal baseline is also a cause for concern.
