2) State responses to a mass influx of migrants seeking asylum;

3) sanction designations generated by artificial intelligence; and all of this in the wake of

4) a coup d’etat, resulting in a government whose status within the international community remains contested.

Team Registration for the Hamilton Lugar / ILSA Undergraduate International Law Moot Court Competition ( ) is now open! The HLI Moot is a simulation of oral argument before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) open to undergraduate students in the United States and Canada.

We're excited to also announce that this edition of the competition will take place in Washington DC at the Indiana University Capital Campus in Washington, DC, 25 February – 28 February, 2027.

Our Student Director, Carol Orbegoso, has launched a new initiative, Peru meets Jessup, to introduce Peruvian law schools to the Jessup Competition and to aid new Peruvian teams in effectively participating.
