Project Welcome Home Troops Our mission is to improve the quality of life for veterans, military members, and their families.

• An interactive, practical mind-body program •

The Power Breath Workshop is a mind-body resilience building program for returning veterans. It offers practical breath-based tools that decrease the stress, anxiety and sleep problems that many veterans and active military experience. A cornerstone of the Power Breath Workshop is the SKY Breath practice, a set of breathing techniques. Through rhythmic breathing patterns, the SKY Breath brings deep mental and physical relaxation which can reduce symptoms of anxiety, anger, insomnia and depression. Through interactive discussions, the Power Breath workshop builds a framework for resilience and empowerment, and develops self-awareness, connectedness and community, and a positive outlook.

• A 12.5 - 15 hour workshop with practical take-home tools and ongoing support

Take Home Tools – Learn a set of daily breathing practices that take about 25 minutes to complete. Some of the practices can be used as needed, day or night to reduce sudden anxiety or insomnia. Ongoing Support - When possible, participants are also supported through facilitated followups with their trainers via Zoom.

A walk through the woods can give us space to slow down.
A trail can help us reconnect with our bodies.
A few quiet minutes outside can create room to breathe, reflect, and reset.

Start where you are. Take a walk. Sit outside. Find a trail (doesn't have to be 10 miles). Look up at the trees. 💚

Sometimes, clarity comes when we finally slow down enough to breathe.

The SKY Resilience Workshop from PWHT offers veterans and others an opportunity to pause, reset, and reconnect—with themselves, their purpose, and the present moment.

Through breathwork, meditation, and practical tools for resilience, SKY can help create space between the stress we carry and how we respond to it.

A clearer mind. A calmer body. A renewed perspective.

This weekend, refresh your space. Refresh yourself. Refresh your connection.

You don’t have to make big changes to create a better vibe.

Try this simple weekend reset:

🧹 Do one thing for your space.
Clear the clutter. Open the windows. Move some furniture. Put on music. Create a space that feels good to come home to.

🌿 Do one thing for yourself.
Take a walk. Get outside. Cook something you enjoy. Take a few quiet minutes to breathe. Give yourself permission to recharge.

🤝 Do one thing for someone else.
Call a friend. Check in on a buddy. Help a neighbor. Invite someone to grab a coffee. Sometimes a small act of connection can make a big difference.

A better space. A little self-care. One meaningful connection.

That’s a pretty good way to spend a weekend.

What’s one thing you’re going to do for yourself and one thing you’ll do for someone else?

For those carrying the weight of military service, stress can show up in ways others may never see.

A racing mind.
A restless night.
A short fuse.
Feeling disconnected.
Feeling like you're carrying too much.

You don't have to figure everything out today.

Pause. Breathe. Reach out. Keep going.

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply ask:

“How are you really doing?”

Healing can begin with connection—and sometimes, with something as simple as taking a breath.

Our SKY Resilience Workshop provides practical, evidence-based tools to manage stress, build resilience, and reconnect. https://tinyurl.com/SKY-Resilience

😂 Ever notice that your nostrils seem to take turns being “the good one”?

There’s actually some fascinating science behind this: it’s called the Nasal Cycle.Your autonomic nervous system naturally shifts blood flow in the tissues of your nasal passages between nostrils. 🔄👃

Your nostrils already know how to take turns. Let’s learn how to work with the rhythm. 🌿 SKY Resilience Workshop https://tinyurl.com/SKYResilience

Yes, Breathwork Works—Especially for Trauma
https://tinyurl.com/PsychTodayBreathe

"Because memory and trauma aren't just mental, they're physiological. Heal the nervous system, and you may suddenly give someone their life back. The SKY Breathing seems to regulate the nervous system in such a way that the memory stays as it should be: a recollection of the past. Not an interruption of the present."
