Welcome! The Badger Motor Officer’s Association exists as a vehicle to promote brotherhood, commaraderie, and most important, training of motor officer’s in our area. The work of a motor officer is unique to any other aspect of law enforcement, and therefore the training an officer, deputy or trooper must complete to become a motor officer is uncomparable to that of any other law enforcement training. These combine to create one of the strongest bonds among officers in all of law enforcement.

Members of the BMOA have been saddened to hear of the passing of Arlington County, VA Police Lt. Charlie Neal.

Charlie was a friend of Wisconsin motors. We worked with him and under his direction during National Police Week for the past 20 years. Anyone who has met Charlie would tell you his presence was much larger than his voice. And if you knew Charlie’s voice, you know that’s saying something! Charlie made his impact by investing in people. He truly cared about the people around him. He cared about motors. He showed that kindness to us every year. But, more importantly, we could see it in the eyes of the people he worked with daily. It went beyond respect.

Charlie had a much larger presence in the world than motors or policing. He made huge contributions as a broadcaster in the world of black college sports and sports in general. He was a true professional. And I enjoyed hearing Charlie doing what he did best, lift people up.

To the Neal family, the BMOA sends its love and respect to you. May you be wrapped with the kindness, caring, and peace that Charlie shared with the rest of us. Thank you for caring for this man who has meant so much for so many. You have our deepest condolences.

To our motor brothers and sisters at The Arlington County Police Department, care for one another like Charlie cared for you. That will forever be his legacy. Train hard and ride safe! We send you our love.

Charlie, thank you for being you. Thank you for your wisdom and kindness. We will miss you.

Rest in Peace Lt. Charlie Neal. We have the watch from here. 🖤💙🖤

There is still time to get your registration in for our 16th Annual Badger Motor Officer's Association Golf Outing!

The Badger Motor Officer’s Association (BMOA) will be hosting its 16th Annual Golf Outing at The Oaks Golf Course on June 1st, 2026.

The BMOA consists of motor officers from surrounding agencies from across the state of Wisconsin’s and Northern Illinois. The BMOA exists to improve and provided training opportunities for our motor officers, with the goal of getting motor officers home safe at the end of each shift. The BMOA golf outing is our largest fund raiser of the year. It pays the costs associated with the training motor officers receive.

It’s also a social event. This is your opportunity to have a lot of fun, get to know us, and everything we do! There will be team prizes, on-course games, putting contest, hole-in-one prizes as well as raffles and a silent auction.

All of the proceeds will go to the BMOA to help with the costs of training and planning for our future BMOA events, such as our annual Skills Competition and our Washington D.C trip for National Police Week. Please see the attached flyer with information on the schedule of events and how to sign up.

Training minute!

Policies increasingly restrict shooting at moving vehicles — but real-world encounters aren’t clean or predictable. How should officers be trained to handle these moments when seconds matter?

The BMOA send its deepest condolences to the families, friends and coworkers of Fire Fighter/Paramedic Daria Deibele and Fire Fighter/Paramedic Tom Diener.

We are mourning the heartbreaking loss of two of our own: Fire Fighter/Paramedic Daria Deibele and Fire Fighter/Paramedic Tom Diener. These dedicated professionals served their communities with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of others. Their service reflected the very best of our profession, and their loss is felt deeply across the fire service, by their families, coworkers, and the public they so selflessly protected. We extend our deepest condolences to their loved ones and stand with their departments during this incredibly difficult time.

PFFW cares deeply for our members and recognizes that loss within our fire service family can take a profound toll. Any member needing support is encouraged to utilize the PFFW Peer Support Team, available at any time, day or night.
