The battle against the abortion pill is exposing a massive conflict between states that have moved to protect preborn children and states determined to keep abortion accessible nationwide. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned 𝘙𝘰𝘦 𝘷. 𝘞𝘢𝘥𝘦 in 2022, authority to regulate abortion returned to the states. Many responded by enforcing laws protecting preborn children.

But the abortion industry has found ways to undermine those protections.

One of the greatest challenges confronting pro-life states is the emergence of 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀—protections enacted by other states that make it difficult to hold abortion providers accountable for sending abortion pills across state lines.

These laws have created an extraordinary situation: A New York doctor can prescribe abortion pills to a woman in Texas or Louisiana, where abortion is largely prohibited, and claim protection under New York law.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺?

𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗬𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗞 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗞𝗦 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧 𝗝𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

In December 2024, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued Dr. Margaret Carpenter, a New York physician accused of prescribing abortion pills to a Texas woman.

According to the complaint, the woman suffered serious complications, including hemorrhaging, and required hospitalization.

In February 2025, a Texas judge ordered Carpenter to stop prescribing abortion pills to Texas residents and imposed $100,000 in civil penalties.

But when Texas attempted to enforce the judgment in New York, 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘁, 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸'𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘄.

Texas challenged that refusal. In October 2025, a New York court upheld the clerk's decision. Texas appealed in May 2026, and the case remains unresolved (see 𝘛𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘴 𝘷. 𝘉𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘬).

The constitutional question: Can one state refuse to recognize another state's court judgment because it disagrees with the underlying law?

𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗬𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Louisiana confronted the same physician in a separate criminal case.

In January 2025, a Louisiana grand jury indicted Carpenter for allegedly providing abortion pills to a pregnant minor.

Governor Jeff Landry sought her extradition to face criminal charges.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲’𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱-𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Consider what happened. Louisiana issued a criminal indictment and sought extradition. Yet New York refused to surrender the accused physician because the alleged conduct was protected under its laws.

This exposes another constitutional conflict: the relationship between shield laws and the Constitution’s requirement that states extradite fugitives charged with crimes elsewhere.

𝗔 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨.𝗦. 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧

On September 30, 2026, Louisiana, Alabama, and Arkansas joined forces in 𝘓𝘰𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘷. 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬, directly challenging the abortion shield laws of New York, California, and Massachusetts in the U.S. Supreme Court.

The three pro-life states contend these laws violate the Constitution by facilitating the distribution of abortion pills into states where they are prohibited and preventing those states from enforcing their own laws.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul proclaimed:

“𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒖𝒔—𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝒀𝒐𝒓𝒌, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒆’𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌.”

The three pro-life states described the conflict in striking terms:

“𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅 𝒍𝒂𝒘𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒖𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍; 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒈𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒓𝒐-𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔.”

The states are asking the Supreme Court to declare these protections unconstitutional. Because the lawsuit was filed directly with the Court, the justices must first decide whether to allow it to proceed.

Simultaneously, the three states filed a separate federal lawsuit in Louisiana targeting 30 individuals and organizations allegedly involved in distributing abortion pills into pro-life states.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗧𝗬

Overturning 𝘙𝘰𝘦 𝘷. 𝘞𝘢𝘥𝘦 was a monumental victory for the pro-life movement. But the abortion industry continues finding ways to circumvent state protections for preborn children.

These legal battles are forcing courts to confront fundamental questions about states’ rights, state sovereignty, and the constitutional obligations states owe one another.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘙𝘰𝘦 𝘷. 𝘞𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱. 𝗜𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿. 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮.

𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦�

1. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮. Ask God for victory in the court cases seeking to stop the distribution of abortion pills into states where they are prohibited.

2. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨.𝗦. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 to take up 𝘓𝘰𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘷. 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬. Pray for the three pro-life states to prevail in the case.

3. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 to begin enforcing the Comstock Act.

4. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗗𝗔'𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆. Pray that the data will be accurate, the findings truthful, and the entire investigation protected from manipulation, interference, or suppression.

5. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗗𝗔’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. As officials examine the data and determine what regulatory actions are warranted, pray for spiritual alignment with God's purposes.

An important development has just occurred in the legal battle against mifepristone—the abortion drug—𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.

At the center of this development is the FDA’s new investigation into the safety of the abortion pill. Recent data has pointed to a much higher occurrence of serious adverse events than the 0.5% figure appearing on the drug's label. The new findings suggest that the rate could be as high as 𝟭𝟬.𝟵𝟯%—a staggering number that any honest and reasonable person should find unacceptable.

𝗔 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗦

In 2025, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. initiated a new investigation into mifepristone's safety at the direction of President Trump. At the same time, numerous legal challenges against the abortion pill were emerging across the country.

This renewed scrutiny has brought significant attention to a controversial issue that continues to loom over the upcoming midterm elections.

On April 7, 2026, Judge David C. Joseph ordered the defendants in 𝘓𝘰𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘷. 𝘍𝘋𝘈 to provide a status update on the FDA’s investigation within six months. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟳.

In its filing, the Department of Justice detailed the methods of evaluation and the current status of the investigation. The FDA expects to complete its safety study by mid-December, after which it will begin interpreting the findings. According to last Wednesday’s filing, the agency expects to complete its safety-study report by March 2027.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗗𝗔’𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄.

Rather, it is the anticipated completion date for the safety-study report. The FDA must subsequently determine whether changes to mifepristone's restrictions are warranted.

We now have an updated timeline, and it’s a short one. What should we be doing while the investigation moves toward its conclusion and the FDA prepares to make its findings public?

𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗜𝗟𝗟

Since the abortion pill received FDA approval in September 2000, many in the pro-life movement have questioned its actual safety. As usual, the abortion industry’s messaging has been shrouded in lies and manipulation. Remember Planned Parenthood’s infamous claim that abortion accounted for only 3% of its business?

Abortion proponents also popularized another claim: "𝗠𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮."

Yet through the years, too many tragic stories have emerged of women injured or even killed after taking the abortion pill. Few people have access to the medical data or the expertise necessary to evaluate these claims. Spiritual discernment and anecdotal evidence alone are insufficient to challenge the industry's carefully crafted narrative. That's why we contend in prayer for the truth to be exposed and brought into the light.

That’s why the new report from the Ethics and Public Policy Center, released in April 2025, became so important. Its findings appeared to confirm our greatest fears—that mifepristone is far more dangerous than the public has been led to believe.

The report rightly became the subject of congressional scrutiny and added urgency to calls for a new FDA investigation.

𝗔 𝗞𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗖 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡

We must contend in prayer right now that there will be no interference with the data or the investigation. It is vital that the findings remain protected from manipulation or any attempt to conceal the dangers of the abortion pill in order to preserve the abortion industry's status quo.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀.

I believe this is a 𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘴 moment for the prayer movement to shape history. All three branches of government are involved in this battle, and the decisions made in the coming months could have profound consequences for generations.

We must leave nothing to chance.

3. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗱𝗶 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. She is President Trump’s nominee for Commissioner of the FDA and is reportedly pro-life. We believe her name may be a prophetic sign that God intends to shift the “Overton window” concerning the abortion pill—changing what is considered politically possible and acceptable in America.

4. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗛𝗦 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗙. 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱𝘆 𝗝𝗿. We believe he genuinely cares about children and the next generation. Pray that he will have a personal encounter with the Lord that establishes a deep and unwavering pro-life conviction.

5. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀. Ask the Lord to strengthen members of the House of Representatives and the Senate to boldly expose the dangers of the abortion pill and pursue legislative action to protect women and children.

6. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗽. Ask the Lord to give him boldness, wisdom, and courage to take whatever executive actions are necessary to restrain the abortion pill and bring an end to its destructive impact in America.

𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴.

𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘

I continue this week with vital insights that will help you pray effectively concerning the abortion pill mifepristone—also known as RU-486. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿. What is needed right now is a prayer movement with understanding and focused intercession to see the evil of the abortion pill brought to an end.

It was December 1, 2021, as we stood in front of the U.S. Supreme Court praying while they heard oral arguments in 𝘋𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘴 𝘷. 𝘑𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯’𝘴 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘖𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. The atmosphere was electric, charged by both the hope of the pro-life movement and the unhinged rage of those desperately fighting to protect abortion.

Then something happened that unexpectedly caught my attention.

A small group of young women walked up the steps of the Court and lifted a banner that read, “We are taking abortion pills forever.” Each of them opened packages of mifepristone and lifted the tiny pill in the air in unison. In a wicked display of defiance, they took the abortion pill right there on the steps of the Supreme Court. I was stunned for a moment and then deeply grieved.

Was it fake—a social media stunt for attention? Or was it something else? 𝗪𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹?

𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴. (Ephesians 6:12)

The fight to end abortion is first and foremost a spiritual battle. Knowing the demonic demand for blood sacrifice in this conflict, I’m inclined to believe what I saw was real. If true, that means there were several human sacrifices made to the demonic realm right there on the Court’s steps. It was perhaps a last-ditch effort to stop Dobbs, but I think it was primarily something else—𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

𝗔𝗡 𝗨𝗡𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗡

In the days that followed, the thought came to me that the abortion pill represented an “unholy communion.” While we receive the elements of Jesus’ body and blood as a holy sacrament, it seemed like the abortion pill represented some kind of demonic forgery.

That idea became an even stronger revelation recently at the All To The Wall gathering in New Orleans, where we rallied to pray for 𝘓𝘰𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘷. 𝘍𝘋𝘈—a court case challenging the abortion pill. On the first night of the gathering, Lou Engle led us in communion, and it was a precious time of encounter with the Lord. At one point I glanced over and saw Jeremy Jacobs, National Director of Bound4LIFE. His tears and sobbing caught my eye, and I asked him about it the following morning.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲.

When a woman takes the abortion pill, it’s actually a two-pill regimen. The first pill is mifepristone—a progesterone blocker—which cuts off the supply of nutrients to the baby. The purpose is to kill the baby in the womb. The second pill is misoprostol, which induces contractions to expel the baby. This process is designed to happen at home unsupervised. Babies are delivered in the toilet.

Jeremy described to me that the Lord showed him that the first pill kills the body, then the second pill produces the flow of blood. The two pills are a 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗶𝘁 of the bread (“this is my body”) and the w**e (“this is my blood”).

This revelation is shocking and overwhelming. Deep grief and sorrow have overwhelmed us in the days that followed as we consider how pervasive the abortion pill has become.

Do you realize that the number of abortions in America has increased year over year since 𝘙𝘰𝘦 𝘷. 𝘞𝘢𝘥𝘦 was overturned? There are abortions happening today in all 50 states because the abortion pill is being mailed across state lines—even into the 13 states that have banned abortion, like Louisiana.

We have always understood that modern-day abortion is no different than the ancient sacrifice to demons.

𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴; 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘱𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘰𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘢𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥. (Psalm 106:37–38)

I believe the Apostle Paul speaks directly to this. In addressing food sacrificed to idols, Paul looked beyond the outward cultural practice and exposed the spiritual reality behind it. What was being sacrificed to idols was actually being offered to demons, and those who participated were partaking of the “table of demons.” Paul then directly contrasted this with our participation in the body and blood of Christ at the Lord’s table (1 Corinthians 10:14–22).

𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮—𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟳—𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗵𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱. 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵.

The practice of Bound4LIFE is to receive communion and plead the blood of Jesus every time we pray at a court or abortion facility. As we press forward in the days ahead, I want to encourage you to receive communion regularly or even daily. Don’t wait for it to come up in a church program only a few times a year.

As the church, we must reengage in the LIFE movement. We can’t afford to let the abortion pill continue unchallenged. This is a spiritual battle, and the church has a spiritual responsibility. We must take our place as a kingdom of priests—pleading the blood of Jesus, exercising the authority He has given us, and contending in prayer for the shedding of innocent blood to end.

Here are five ways I’m asking you to join us in focused intercession:

𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦

1. Pray for the abortion pill to be restrained through current court cases like 𝘓𝘰𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘷. 𝘍𝘋𝘈.

2. Pray for the demonic hold of the abortion pill to be broken off America.

3. Pray for the governmental systems and structures that have allowed for the abortion pill’s expansion to be shifted and changed.

4. Pray for the public conscience to be impacted by the testimonies of women injured by the abortion pill.

5. Pray for the church in America to rise up as a kingdom of priests who apply the blood of Christ.
