PILGRIMAGE PROGRAM III - ITALY EXTENDED
USA DEPARTURE — SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 DEPARTURE Flight from Newark Liberty International Airport to Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport.
DAY 1 — MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 ROME English-speaking assistant for transfer from the airport to the hotel. Private coach transfer from the airport to the Best Western President Hotel in Rome. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 2 — TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 ROME Free day at leisure in Rome. Attend Mass (location to be determined). Dinner and overnight stay at the Best Western President Hotel in Rome.
DAY 3 — WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1 ROME Private coach transfer from the hotel to the Vatican area in Rome. Attend the Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square, followed by a Mass celebration in the Vatican area. Enjoy a half-day guided tour of the Vatican Museums with an English-speaking guide. Private coach transfer from the Vatican back to the hotel in Rome. Dinner and overnight stay at the Best Western President Hotel in Rome.
DAY 4 — THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2 ROME Half-day guided tour of the Roman Basilicas with an English-speaking guide. Earphones provided for the full day in Rome. Attend Mass at St. John Lateran or Santa Maria Maggiore. Half-day guided tour of Ancient Rome with an English-speaking guide. Dinner and overnight stay at the Best Western President Hotel in Rome.
DAY 5 — FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3 LORETO Our journey continues to Loreto. Enjoy a half-day guided tour of Loreto with an English-speaking guide. Visit the Basilica of Santa Casa (The Holy House) and St. Michael’s Sanctuary in Loreto. Attend Mass at Loreto Church. Dinner and overnight stay at the Klass Hotel Castelfidardo, located in the surroundings of Loreto.
DAY 6 — SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4 LORETO Free day at leisure in Loreto. Visit Osimo and the Church of St. Joseph of Cupertino for Mass. Dinner and overnight stay at the Klass Hotel Castelfidardo.
DAY 7 — SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5 SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO Our journey continues to San Giovanni Rotondo via Lanciano. Enjoy a half-day guided tour with an English-speaking guide in Lanciano, including a visit to the Church of the Eucharistic Miracle. Attend Mass. Proceed to San Giovanni Rotondo. Dinner and overnight stay at either the San Giovanni Rotondo Palace or Arie Hotel in San Giovanni Rotondo.
DAY 8 — MONDAY, OCTOBER 6 SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO Attend Mass at the Padre Pio Church in San Giovanni Rotondo. Enjoy a half-day guided tour of San Giovanni Rotondo with an English-speaking guide, including entrance to the Padre Pio Sanctuary. Afternoon at leisure in San Giovanni Rotondo. Dinner and overnight stay at either the San Giovanni Rotondo Palace or Arie Hotel.
DAY 9 — TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7 ROME Our journey continues to Rome via Monte Cassino, Nettuno, and Anzio. Enjoy a half-day guided tour of Cassino with an English-speaking guide, including entrance to the Abbey in Cassino. Dinner and overnight stay at the SMY Aran Blu Ostia Hotel in Rome.
DAY 10 — WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8 DEPARTURE English-speaking assistant for transfer from the hotel to the airport in Rome. Private coach transfer from the hotel in Rome to the airport.

(Repeat) WARNING AND CLARIFICATION regarding use of improper insignia. It has been reported to the Secretariat that some members of the order have been using insignia at events that is not authorized.
We hereby warn and clarify once again that since the year 2000 the use of the crown on any and all of the various insignia of the Order of Saint Michael is only allowed for those members of the Chancellery or people with a representative position or charge in the Royal Brotherhoods such as Patrons, Judges, Delegates and Chaplains. No one else may wear the crown on the insignia without any exception!
In the year 2000 the order adopted the medieval original insignia without crown but since then many have persisted in using the crown on insignia. The unauthorized use of the crown on insignia is considered ursurpation of representative charge and merits expulsion as per the norms.
All those members of the Royal Brotherhood who are wearing such unauthorized insignia are ordered to immediately remove the crown so as to avoid any unpleasant and embarrassing situations.
Following this warning anyone who continues to perpetrate such abuse will be immediately and publicly expelled without any previous or official notification.
If you have obtained the wrong insignia please contact the authorized supplier for a. exchange or modification.

NOTE: Only those members of the Ukraine RISMA may have a shell as a trophy on the insignia. Only members invested before September 29, 2023 may use the insignia of the Order of Saint Michael of the Wing. All others must wear the insignia of the Royal Order of the Archangel Saint Michael modelled after the 1848 reform and in use until 1980.
