🚨 Justice Department Launches Investigations Concerning Gender Ideology in Pre-K-12 Schools in 36 Illinois School Districts

“This Department of Justice is determined to put an end to local school authorities keeping parents in the dark about how sexuality and gender ideology are being pushed in classrooms,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “Supreme Court precedent leaves no doubt: parents have the fundamental right and primary authority to direct the care, upbringing, and education of their children. This includes exempting their children from ideological instruction that contradicts their values or decisions about their children’s health and best interests.”

It has been a remarkable and unified effort on the Farm BIll! We’ve been on Capitol Hill once a month for days at a time having conversation after conversation to educate our representatives on these issues. While there is more work to be done, this is a huge moment and would not have happened without the people realizing their power. Last night Representative Luna’s Farm Bill amendment passed which removes the pesticide immunity provisions in the bill.

Thank you to all Congress members who voted with the people. Thank you to all who fought for this, advocated, and used their voice. It’s truly a win for the people. Advocacy works.

Thank you Senator Brian W. Jones ! It was an honor to work alongside you on . We are grateful for your leadership in bringing this issue forward on behalf of children, families, and physicians across California.

This effort reached further than many expected — earning , including Democratic co-authors Senator Dave Cortese and Senator Ben Allen , and being taken seriously by California Senate leadership.

The conversation around vaccine mandates and medical exemptions was brought fully into the public arena—spoken on the record in Senate halls and carried into the broader public forum. That matters.

Update on SB 1377 (Jones) with bi-partisan support from co-authors Senator Cortese and Senator Allen…First, the bill is still alive. It has been eligible for reconsideration since last week which can potentially lead to a revote the next time the Senate Health Committee meets tomorrow.  However, regardless, we must keep faith and tenacity, no matter what the outcome is this week.  We will know the outcome within the next 24 hours.
 
A final coalition letter on SB 1377 has been sent to the Chair requesting the reconsideration of SB 1377 and reflecting the need for further conversations on this issue with all organizations. We are working with people and groups who do not agree with each other on everything but have the same unified goal for medical freedom.
