Liberty STEAM Charter School just got a well-deserved boost from Google! This STEM-focused school was awarded $100,000 to grow technology-based learning opportunities in Sumter, South Carolina. Fifth and sixth grade students also had the chance to participate in Google’s Online Safety Roadshow, focused on the skills they need to become good digital citizens.

The Academy for Innovation in Medicine is prepping students for healthcare careers – starting as early as sixth grade. Students at this public charter school are part of a clinical immersion program, which includes hands-on, real-world learning like exploring emerging health issues or touring healthcare facilities.

Partnered with Grady Health System, the tuition-free Academy for Innovation in Medicine is a new Atlanta charter school that trains young people for careers in healthcare. The school opened in July and is still enrolling sixth and ninth graders.
