Last year, Anna Perks was recognized as an emerging leader creating tangible change.

As the founder of Perks Deconstruction, she has helped divert over 10 million pounds of material from landfills, turning waste into opportunity and supporting local communities through reuse.

Her work reflects what the Kate Raftery Emerging Leader Award is all about, bold leadership, innovative thinking, and a clear commitment to improving the lives of others.

Each awardee also directs a $1,000 donation to a Peace Corps project of her choice, extending that impact even further.

Now we are looking for the next emerging leader to recognize.

Who comes to mind?

Nominations are open through May 15. https://womenofpeacecorpslegacy.com/our-annual-awards/

Last year, Juliet Sorensen was recognized for a career rooted in justice, equity, and global impact.

From her service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco to leading work at the intersection of health, human rights, and the rule of law, her path reflects what it looks like to stay committed to women and communities over time, in classrooms, courtrooms, and communities.

This is exactly what the Deborah Harding Women of Achievement Award honors, women whose work has created lasting change in the lives of women and girls.

Each awardee also directs a $1,000 donation to a Peace Corps project of her choice, extending that impact even further.

Now we are looking for the next leader to recognize.

Last week we celebrated Peace Corps Week and the 65th anniversary of the Peace Corps, honoring the impact of volunteers and staff who have served communities around the world.

It is also , a time to recognize the leadership and contributions of women working to strengthen communities and expand opportunity.

When these moments come together, we are reminded of something powerful. Peace Corps women continue to lead, mentor, and create lasting change for women and girls across the globe.

At Women of Peace Corps Legacy, we celebrate that impact each year through two leadership awards:

• The Deborah Harding Women of Achievement Award, honoring Peace Corps women whose work has made a lasting impact on women and girls.

• The Kate Raftery Emerging Leader Award, recognizing rising leaders age 40 and under who are advancing the lives of women and girls.

✨ Nominations are now open.

As we celebrate Peace Corps Week and Women’s History Month, we invite you to help recognize the women in our community who continue the mission of service and leadership. https://womenofpeacecorpslegacy.com/our-annual-awards/
