What has happened in Petworth is beyond comprehension. For nearly a decade, Cannabis Karma and our sister brand Lifeluxee have cultivated connection, wellness, and joy in this neighborhood. This was more than a storefront. It was a gathering place, a sanctuary, a home for legacy plant medicine culture in the District. To be stripped of that, not through a fair process but through administrative overreach, is unbearable.

Yet even in this moment, we are not defeated. We are still fighting for our rights and for the principle that no agency can take what belongs to a community without due process. Our store remains padlocked, and our property remains unlawfully held by ABCA without a court order or judicial review. We are pursuing legal remedies, and while we remain hopeful that justice will prevail, we must also prepare for the possibility of relocation.

Still, our spirit remains unbroken. Cannabis Karma and Lifeluxee have stood as legacy brands since 2016, and our commitment to serving you continues. As Princess, this loss has been deeply personal. Over these many years, I have poured love, time, and care into creating a space where you could feel safe, held, and uplifted, always with reverence and compassion for the beautiful, sacred cannabis plant. To see our community doors locked and our property withheld without justice has been a heartbreak felt in the deepest way.
