Would today’s philanthropists have funded the Underground Railroad?

Modern philanthropy often prioritizes scale, measurable outcomes, and institutional approval. But many of history’s most significant movements began as small, decentralized efforts that would have struggled to meet those standards.

This article explores what the Underground Railroad can teach us about grassroots action, philanthropy, and social change.

As our own Ken Braun explains, America’s anti-energy movement isn't operating in a vacuum.

While activists push policies that restrict domestic energy production, China continues to dominate global emissions and expand its industrial base. The result is a debate that often weakens American energy while strengthening foreign competitors.

As our own Scott Walter told The National News Desk, no one knows the full scope of fraud across federal and state programs, but even conservative estimates suggest tens of billions—and possibly hundreds of billions—of taxpayer dollars are at stake.

Reducing fraud won't solve every budget problem, but it could make a dramatic difference for taxpayers and the people these programs are meant to serve. ([The National Desk][1])

Balancing the federal budget by eliminating fraud and improper government payments.

China now accounts for nearly one-third of global CO₂ emissions, producing more than double the emissions of the United States.

Our latest article examines the long-term emissions trends behind the global energy debate and the growing disconnect between anti-energy activism in America and worldwide emissions realities.

A new Open the Books investigation found at least $3.85 million in taxpayer-backed spending tied to the Southern Poverty Law Center since 2016, including government purchases of SPLC materials and programs using its “Teaching Tolerance” curriculum.

The report also details SPLC-linked influence in schools, teacher training, and federally funded youth programs.

The Department of Justice announced last month that the nonprofit Southern Poverty Law Center, organization designed to confront “hate” in society, was being charged with wire fraud, false statements, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

How interconnected is the activist Left’s legal and influence network?

As Ken Braun testified before Congress last week, America’s anti-energy movement isn’t just shaping policy in Washington. It’s reshaping communities across the country.

Now rural New Yorkers are pushing back against massive state-backed solar projects being forced on local communities despite overwhelming opposition.

“We were like serfs coming before a king. It was so much worse than I ever imagined.”

As our own Robert Stilson notes, Treasury’s push for greater nonprofit transparency is long overdue.

For years, activist nonprofits and fiscal sponsorship networks have operated with limited scrutiny while still benefiting from taxpayer subsidies and tax-exempt status.

More transparency means more accountability.

Could certain changes reap a world of change?

The same left-wing legal and activist networks defending the Neville Singham operation are also tied to congressional influence campaigns and anti-ICE organizing.

The web of dark money groups keeps getting smaller.

A left-leaning law firm helping Singham Network groups push back against House GOP efforts to get answers about the CCP-linked financial network is itself closely tied to parts of the same Marxist network.
