ISSS is dedicated to a single notion: that all world-minded students deserve a global education. American University continues to value international exchange.

Today the university is home to more than 1000 international students and scholars representing diverse cultures and viewpoints from over 130 countries. This diversity is also reflected in our faculty and academic programs. If you're a student or scholar coming from outside the US, the staff in International Student and Scholar Services is here to support you. We've helped thousands of students from the first steps of learning about AU to processing the official documents needed to settle in. We're dedicated to helping international students and scholars thrive in the AU community. Whatever your question or concern, we're here for you.
