[2022 Korea Foundation-한국국제교류재단 - Atlantic Council Journalist Delegation Pre-Trip Roundtable]

Prior to the Delegation Trip to Korea from June 20 to June 26, KF USA held a Pre-Trip meeting, In-Person Roundtable, on June 9, 2022.

The aim of this delegation trip to Korea is to enable fellows to gain deeper knowledge and exchange analysis on the most pressing issues facing the US-ROK alliance and economic partnership on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia.

This opportunity will provide the next generation of American journalists with unique insights into the anticipated role of South Korea’s new administration, particularly in the context of an evolving geopolitical and geo-economic landscape in the Indo-Pacific region.

At the Roundtable, The Honorable Mark Lippert, former US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the ROK, Deputy Assistant Secretary Mark Lambert from the US Department of State’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, and Mr. Steve Son, the Vice President and Head of International Trade and Regulatory Affairs at SK Hynix delivered their remarks and the Journalists fellow had the chance to discuss current issues on ROK-US relations.
