🎶✨ to our unforgettable Freedom Concert in July 2017! Under the brilliant direction of LA conductor and composer Ahmed Alabaca, DC Strings Workshop celebrated freedom and equality through the works of Beethoven, Britten, and Dvorak at Sts. Monica St. James Episcopal Church and St. Columba’s Church in Washington, DC.

This unique collaboration brought together musicians from across the country, creating a transformative musical experience. We're proud to continue creating opportunities for local musicians to shine!

to DC Strings Workshop's Virtual Learn 24 Summer Camp! 🎻🎶

Partnering with Learn24 and the Deputy Mayor of Education, we hosted dynamic virtual music camps across DC, offering children aged 5-16 a six-week exploration of piano, strings, and percussion. Pre-pandemic, we also collaborated with DC Parks and Recreation, enriching over 200 students' lives through immersive music programs.

Through group therapy sessions integrated into the camps, we addressed emotional healing and resilience-building, harnessing music's unique power to unite and heal. We continue to empower youth with masterclasses, private lessons, instrument donations, and impactful performances, ensuring equitable access to music education.

🎶✨ Check out these photos from our recent event at the Spanish Embassy! The Accord Symphony Orchestra, led by the brilliant Julien Benichou, delivered an enchanting evening of Spanish music and culture.

From De Falla’s El Amor Brujo to Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in C major, featuring the incredible cellist David Martín Gutiérrez, it was a night to remember.
