African Food and Peace Foundation AFPF provides financial and strategic resources to community-initiated rural development projects in rural Uganda.

African Food and Peace Foundation (AFPF) is a 501(c)3 that promotes community-initiated rural development projects with established partner organizations. We do this by contributing financial and strategic resources. We envision an African continent where rural communities are socially and economically self-sufficient and thriving. Based out of the Greater Boston area for 40 years, AFPF has been supporting significant, long-term development in rural Uganda and providing North Americans with well-stewarded, quality development projects. Our partners, Uganda Rural Development and Training (URDT) and African Rural University (ARU), are located on a expansive 80-acre campus in rural Western Uganda, where over 500 people participate in programs each day. With our partners, we support the following key strategies:
Improved equity, quality, and access of education for women and girls
Food security through improved agricultural practices
Entrepreneurship through technical and vocational skills
Peace through advancements in health and social welfare
Environmental sustainability
