Introducing our new Community Engagement Interns, Matt and Molly!
“My name is Molly Zatlukal and I am a rising junior public policy student at the University of Maryland. I have been involved with Newtown Action Alliance for almost six years now, since getting involved with Junior NAA at Newtown High School. In that time, I have had the privilege of serving as a Junior Chairperson, Board Advisor, and newly, an Intern for the Director of Community Engagement. Since beginning my advocacy, my commitment to ending gun violence has only grown stronger. I look forward to continuing to work alongside advocates and survivors to advance NAA’s mission to create safer communities.”
“My name is Matt Holden and I am a rising junior political science and business student at George Washington University. I am a Sandy Hook survivor, and have been with the Newtown Action Alliance since joining the Junior NAA my senior year at Newtown High School. Since joining the Action Alliance I have served as a Board Advisor and now Community Engagement Intern, and have had incredible opportunities to meet with leaders, fellow survivors, and advocates. I am looking forward to continuing the NAA’s incredible work in my new role.”
If you would like to hear more from Matt and Molly, feel free to join us during the Action Alliances weekly Lunch and Lobby Sessions at 12 pm EST, and look forward to more updates as they continue their work from Newtown and Washington, D.C.
