Workforce shortages remain one of the biggest challenges facing ageing services providers. One innovative solution is showing promise.

Global Care Recruiters, founded by four LeadingAge members, is building a pipeline of Kenyan registered nurses for careers in long-term care in the United States. The initiative focuses on ethical recruitment, long-term support, and creating opportunities that benefit both providers and nurses.

A difficult experience navigating the care system for his mother inspired Paul Sharman to reimagine how older adults can receive care in Canada.

As president of PACE Canada, Sharman has helped adapt a model that enables older adults to remain in their homes while accessing coordinated health, social, and support services. The results have shown promise for improving quality of life, supporting caregivers, and reducing health care costs.
